#PrinceOfPeace {+FREE Digital “Prints of Peace Collection”}
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
This peace the Savior speaks of, this peace that surpasses all understanding, do you ever wonder just exactly how to obtain it?
Sometimes I just want to go outside and gather up armfuls of this peace like soft, spring tulips. But peace isn’t a bouquet of tulips you can cradle in your arms. It’s more like the sunshine. You can’t scoop it up in your arms, but you can feel it envelop you in warmth the moment you step within its reach.
However, we all know that life doesn’t give us a never-ending stream of sunny days. The clouds and storms inevitably rage. It’s the same in our lives. Times of quiet calm and restful peace don’t last forever. We turn a corner, and suddenly we are confronted with illness, death, war, politics, anger, strife, crime, and heartbreak. Whether abroad or close to home, it threatens to wash away any semblance of peace.
But we were never promised that in the world we would have peace. Outward peace is elusive.
Inner peace is what we seek, and it only comes from Christ.
This Easter, the #PrinceOfPeace initiative will give us the chance to ignite within our hearts the peace that we so desperately seek. On March 31, a beautiful video will be launched (at mormon.org/easter) to show us Jesus Christ’s role as the Prince of Peace. And then each day during Holy Week, from Palm Sunday (April 9) until Easter Sunday (April 16), one of 8 principles will be presented with a scripture, a short video of individuals who have found peace from practicing this principle, and a few suggestions on ways we might live this principle.
As we come unto Christ this Easter, I know we will “learn the principles of peace from the Prince of Peace.”
And perhaps, these principles will kindle within our hearts a bright, eternal sunshine that can warm us with the glow of peace no matter our outward circumstances.
As I’ve pondered how I might share the love and peace of the Lord with you, I was prompted to create a “Prints of Peace” collection as a free gift to you.
In this collection you will be able to download 10 digital prints to use in your home as you celebrate Holy Week this year. Included in the collection is:
Isaiah 9:6 (the theme scripture for the #PrinceOfPeace campaign)
8 principles print
8 scripture prints that correspond with the 8 principles {You can switch these out each day as you celebrate each of the principles during Holy Week.}
To download and print, click on the button below. And please feel free to share this post with anyone who might be interested in this gift as well.
This Easter season, may you and your loved ones cultivate within you the glow of the Savior’s peace is my sincere hope and prayer for you.
